Air Force releases latest field grade officer promotions

The Air Force selected 2,053 active-duty officers for promotion to lieutenant colonel and major during recent CY23D and CY23E central selection boards.






















 

In total, the Air Force selected 58 majors for promotion to lieutenant colonel (BSC) and 1,995 captains for promotion to major (LAF-A, LAF-N, LAF-I, LAF-C and LAF-F).  

Lieutenant Colonel (P0523D) selection statistics: 


Biomedical Sciences Corps: 58 selected out of 226 considered. 


Major (P0423E) selection statistics: 


LAF-Air Operations and Special Warfare:  1,071 selected out of 1,270 considered. 


LAF-Nuclear and Missile Operations:  71 selected out of 96 considered. 


LAF-Information Warfare:  398 selected out of 454 considered. 


LAF-Combat Support:  311 selected out of 370 considered. 


LAF-Force Modernization:  144 selected out of 177 considered.
