EDN News is an independent air-defense publication covering surface-to-air systems, radar and early-warning networks, counter-drone measures, and military aviation for the readers who work with them. It is part of the VUGA Network, a group of independent digital magazines published across the United States.

Air defense is a layered problem, built from sensors, interceptors, command links and magazine depth, and EDN News covers every layer for readers who work with them. The publication reports surface-to-air systems, counter-drone measures, radar and early warning networks, and the military aviation operating alongside and against them, together with the procurement decisions determining who fields what.

The format is analysis and explainer, assembled from open sources: budget documents, parliamentary answers, contract notices, satellite imagery and manufacturer specifications read against each other. Claimed intercept probabilities are reported as claims. Combat footage is not treated as proof of system performance without corroboration. Targeting-useful detail is withheld, unattributed battlefield tallies are not repeated, and any figure that cannot be verified is marked as such. Manufacturer brochures and government fact sheets are read as advocacy documents, useful but not neutral. Where two credible sources give different numbers, both figures appear with their origin stated.

Airdefense covers interceptors, radars, layered architecture and magazine economics. Aviation follows the aircraft: fighters, tankers, transports, trainers, their engines and their availability rates. Procurement tracks tenders, offsets, delivery schedules and the unit price governments would rather not itemize. Security examines threat assessment, alliance planning and base protection.
